Website that provides online courses for conversational English. Developed with LearnDash and WooCommerce in the Fall of 2019.
Scott, my client, started Focused English in late 2016 after returning from years of being an English-language instructor and tutor in Dubai and Istanbul. He wanted to take his experience in teaching conversational English and turn into a viable online business by selling instructional courses.
He went through quite a few developers before being referred to me. There were two key problems: for one, he had a pre-made theme that did not exactly fit what he needed. For two, his previous developers had quite a bit of issues with LearnDash.
I completely rebuilt his website using a theme that I wrote from scratch that was based upon a framework I created (and still use in evolved format to this day). I improved the integration with LearnDash. To wrap up all of the elements, I used WooCommerce as the method of purchasing courses instead of LearnDash’s built-in solution.
